What is the Jesus Feast?
The Jesus Feast is a project conceived by two Christian business women from Fayette County, Ga., who are burdened to lift Jesus up in this hour, to this generation, in this community and nation. It is a simple plan which invites people to spend 40 days focusing on Jesus beginning Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, and ending on The Day of Atonement, Saturday, Sept. 18.
During this time participants will be encouraged to:
- Choose a partner or organize a small group which together will read and study one of Jesus’ miracles each day, asking God for revelation about the miracle. Beginning with the Miracle at Cana, a new miracle passage will be posted each day on jesusfeast.org. It will be possible to sign up for email updates on these posts.
- Read the passages aloud, to yourself or with your group or partner. Audio recordings will be available on jesusfeast.org as well. Discuss among yourselves. Ask the question: “What is God saying to us today?”
- Sharing of insights and testimonies is encouraged through commenting on this website as well.
- Sing and listen to worship songs which are focused on Jesus. Visit jesusfeast.org to enjoy often changing examples of these.
- Participate in a community worship service on the evening of the Day of Atonement, the final day of the feast. An event is being planned in Fayetteville, Ga., for this day and we hope to stream live video from this at jesusfeast.org. Details coming soon. Other communities may want to also organize worship services as they feel led to do.
Come as you are.
Eat and drink at His table.
Come Lord Jesus.
Let Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
